The Alumni Link project at the University of Hertfordshire focuses on building mutually beneficial relationships between the University and its alumni, by taking advantage of networking sites such as LinkedIn and Facebook. We follow an active approach to (online) community building, by piloting and implementing a programme to develop initially two subject-specific professional communities (Creative Arts, Pharmacy) that bring together undergraduates, recent graduates and alumni to network and create employment and skills development opportunities.
